With the release of IndexReloaded version 1.2.1 on October 1st, we have taken a close look at the topic of page cache. 15 plugins for page cache were tested and examined for compatibility with IndexReloaded.
The bottom line is that IndexReloaded is compatible with all but 2 of the page cache plugins in the previous versions.
Apart from a few details, the Pre-1.2.0 IndexReloaded works with a page cache, but we had to improve AJAX calls and the creation of Critical CSS (CCSS).
The page cache plugins IndexReloaded 1.2.1. knows are WP Fastest Cache, W3 Total Cache, Super Page Cache, Rapid Cache, Hummingbird, WP Optimize, Hyper Cache, SpeedyCache, Comet Cache, Cache Enabler, Borlabs Cache, Cachify, Swift Performance Lite, LiteSpeed Cache and WP Super Cache.
Page cache and performance
In the world of WordPress, there are countless plugins that offer the use of a page cache. These plugins are extremely important for the performance of WordPress sites. The server response time drops drastically from often over 600ms to 10 to 40ms.
As far as the WordPress website allows, page cache plugins are therefore an important component for improving website performance and achieving better performance values on PageSpeed Insights.
Page Cache Plugins …
…are a dime a dozen from our point of view. With the 15 plugins for which we have set up compatibility with IndexReloaded, the plugins most commonly used in WordPress are covered.
If you use a plugin that we do not support, please let us know via our contact form at the bottom of our homepage.
